How to read the catalog

PeerSift is an experimental research directory supporting editorial discovery. It indexes names and links found in Reddit discussions. It does not certify resources or give clinical advice.

Imported records need review

The collection includes automated name and URL extraction. Ordinary phrases can be mistaken for book titles, punctuation variants can become separate entries, and source matches can be unrelated. Known false record 123 and entries tied to the exact synthetic URLs in the retained seed are excluded from discovery. Their original detail URLs remain reachable with an explanation. Other entries have not all been checked.

Two different quantities

Imported mention count is a stored extraction count. Reprocessing can add to it. It is not a number of independent people, votes, purchases or endorsements.

Unverified text matches are derived separately: case-insensitive searches of post titles/text and comment text for the resource name. Up to 50 posts and 50 comments are read, ordered by source ID. Synthetic or unusable source links are suppressed and identical displayed links of the same type and date are collapsed. Results do not establish recommendation or relevance.

Dates describe collection

First and last imported dates concern the record. Community collection dates describe the last stored collection run. They do not establish the resource’s availability or when it was last independently checked.

Local preview

When a preview notice is displayed, the directory uses a dated capture of actual public-resource fields. It has no production database connection. Post/comment bodies, accounts, API keys, usage and billing data are excluded. Text-match lookup is not included. Altered resource URLs are withheld rather than presented as exact destinations.

Read its original source and the resource provider’s own information. Check current availability and whether it fits your purpose. For health-related choices, online mentions are not a substitute for qualified advice.
